Property Tour — Safety & Privacy Protocol

Verify the person first. Confirm the agent/owner's name and number on 99Land before meeting. Ask for a photo ID at the site.

Visit in daylight. Prefer morning or daytime slots and avoid isolated, under-construction or remote locations after dark.

Tell someone & share live location. Inform a family member or friend where you are going, and share your live location (WhatsApp / Google Maps) for the duration of the visit.

Consider taking a companion. Wherever possible, take a family member or friend along to the property visit.

Never pay to "view" a property. No genuine owner or agent asks for a booking, token, registration or visit fee just to show a property. Do not pay cash or transfer money before physically verifying the property and its documents.

Inspect, don't commit on the spot. Take your time, photograph the property, and never sign documents or hand over original papers / cheques during a first visit.

Trust your instincts. If anything feels unsafe or the deal looks too good to be true, leave and report the listing to 99Land.

Confirm who is calling. Join the video tour only with the verified agent/owner shown on the listing. Be cautious of links sent from unknown numbers.

Never share OTPs or financial details. 99Land, banks or genuine agents will never ask for your OTP, UPI PIN, card number, net-banking password, Aadhaar OTP or bank details over a video call.

Protect your privacy. Use a neutral background, and do not reveal documents, your home interior or personal information on screen.

Recording & consent. Do not record the other person without their consent, and inform them if you are recording. Avoid forwarding any recording publicly.

No advance payment. Treat any request to pay a deposit / booking amount during or right after a video tour as a red flag.

Always follow up with a physical visit. A video tour is for shortlisting only — verify the property and its title documents in person before any transaction.

When you request a tour, we share your name, phone number and email with the listing's owner/agent so they can contact you to arrange the visit. This is the sole purpose of collecting these details.

Your contact details are not sold or shared with unrelated third parties. They are used only to connect you with the property owner/agent and to send you tour-related updates.

We handle your personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may ask us to update or delete your details at any time.

By submitting a tour request you consent to be contacted by the owner/agent and by 99Land via call, SMS, WhatsApp or email regarding this enquiry.
